This literature production unit of the Pioneer School for the Visually Impaired provides learning, reading and teaching support material in braille, audio sound and large print formats to blind and partially sighted persons in South Africa and neighboring countries.

At the Pioneer Printers we specialize in reproducing school textbooks and examination papers of any learning area into braille, audio sound and large print.

One of the greatest barriers visually impaired people are faced with is gaining direct access to everyday reading matter/written text. At the Pioneer Printers we reproduce written text e.g.  ” I can read” into Braille for blind persons that knows braille, Audio sound for blind or partially sighted persons that cannot read braille and Large print for partially sighted persons that still can read text with their eyes.
